Volunteer Spotlight: Karen Levy

Karen LevyKaren Levy is a dedicated Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption volunteer. As an adoption counselor, Karen helps match potential adopters with the right dog for their lifestyles. In the three years she has been volunteering with APRA, she has rarely missed a Saturday adoption day, and often comes in during the week to help when her schedule allows.

Karen says that “APRA is her ‘happy place,’ not only because of the good work done here, but because of the amazing people who work and volunteer here.” “APRA is my home away from home, and volunteering at APRA gives so much more to me than I could ever imagine.”

We appreciate Karen’s devotion immensely! Karen is always willing to do things at the very last minute. In the past couple of months, we have needed a volunteer on an emergency basis to represent APRA on WAGA/Fox 5’s “Good Day Extra” morning show. Without hesitation, Karen offered to fill in both times. She also fosters dogs. Karen is always willing to help, and she projects a positive and professional image in everything she does. Thank you, Karen!
