It’s time to unleash the potential of this overgrown area at APRA and create a perfect spot for our dogs. They could use this space to run and play, take a training class, learn agility and most importantly, reduce their stress by giving them exercise.
Phil (our Staff Trainer) and Jen (our Volunteer Coordinator) are asking for volunteers (or friends of volunteers) to pitch in and help make this project happen. On Saturday, October 20th at 9am there will be a Backyard Clean Up Day. We are asking anyone who would like to help rake, dig, pull weeds, bag weeds, pick up broken glass and begin the process of creating a safe and secure area for the dogs to join us and bring any tools and gardening supplies. Yard gloves will be needed.
If you are unable to participate in the clean up and you would like to make a monetary donation towards the purchase of new fencing we would appreciate that as well. This
donation can be made on our website www.atlantapetrescue.org under General Donations. Please note “Backyard Project” in the special note/request box at the bottom of the online form.
For more information on how you can help establish this exercise area for APRA please email Jen Gagne at volunteers@atlantapetrescue.org.
