This is our Mattie, an APRA alum and heartworm survivor. She had come from Clayton Co. Animal Control last December with numerous medical problems. Known as Mistletoe back then, she was on the road to recovery–thanks to the help of all the people at APRA and many donors–when we adopted her in January. After her first haircut we found that she was actually a beautiful brindle scotty mix!
Mattie is about 6 years old and the perfect pet–well-trained, patient, loves to cuddle, and is quite the talker! She loves her toys, and is the perfect companion for Chester, our 9-yr-old Lhasa Apso mix, rescued from Clayton Co. Humane Society 7 years ago. We are so glad Mattie was rescued by APRA, is in such good health, and is now part of our family. We are grateful to everyone there who loved her and took such good care of her before we met her.
