On Dec. 8, 2000, I adopted a Beagle named Lucy from your adoption site at the Barnes & Noble on Peachtree St. She was four years old and had been abandoned twice before I adopted her.
Last Saturday, after more than twelve years, Lucy passed. She lived a remarkably healthy life. I miss her terribly, even though I knew the day was coming. I feel blessed that I happened upon your group back then and found Lucy waiting for me. She was a Godsend for me back then when I needed her, and helped me through some tough times. She spent the last 5 plus years being the object of affection and love from a bunch of children in my wife’s family. As the only dog in the circle, she got a lot of attention.
