Sadie

I am a gorgeous 10 pound, three-year-old Toy Fox Terrier.  I have a very shiny, short coat and a stub tail. I love to fetch balls, and am a good lap companion. I get along well with other dogs, but like my people better than other four-legged creatures.

Come meet me at or see me online at: www.atlantapetrescue.org. Atlanta Pet Rescue is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday 11am-3pm and Saturday 1pm-4pm. For more information about Atlanta Pet Rescue or how to adopt Sadie or any of our 80+ dogs or cats, visit our web site.

Her foster report: Sadie is, in three words, an absolute doll.  She has been lovely in my home and absolutely loves to play. She and my smallest, who is only a pound or so larger, wrestle like they grew up together and she does perfectly well with all of my others, although I have no large dogs. Due to her very tiny stature, she would not do well in a home with children or with large dogs. I do think she needs a small playmate around her size.

She is very loving with her person and simply adores attention.  This girl is a real gem and the right home will be blessed to have her as a companion.

Happy Tales

Each month we will spotlight one of our many adoption success stories. To see more Happy Tales stories, visit our web site. To submit your own Atlanta Pet Rescue adoption story, click here to email us.

Tessa

We adopted Tessa in October of 2006 and have enjoyed every moment with her! She is an amazing dog and has been such a joy to have. We appreciate the time that APR volunteers took to help us find the perfect match for us.

Thank you for all that you do,

Ana and Jose

Volunteer Spotlight

Irene Kent

Irene comes to the shelter every Friday and takes care of "her babies" as she calls them. She loves each and every one of our precious animals with all of her heart, and it shows in her tender care of them.

Not only does she give them her heart while she is at the shelter, but when Irene goes home she continues doing good deeds for Atlanta Pet Rescue. Irene is an expert fundraiser and knows how vital financial contributions are to the success of our rescue efforts.

She campaigns on behalf of each and every pet, telling everyone she knows about our group, and how hard we are working towards the goal of no homeless pets in Atlanta. And it works! Every year Irene single-handedly raises thousands of dollars for our pets awaiting adoption.

We are so lucky to have Irene in our volunteer family! If you see her, please tell Irene "Thank You!".
