A New Look for Atlanta Pet Rescue |

It has taken us almost four years, but our search is complete! We are proud to introduce our new Atlanta Pet Rescue logo! We greatly appreciate the hard work and efforts of the many talented designers and artists that, over the last few years, worked on ideas and concepts to help us better represent who we are and what we do in the community. |

It was a difficult decision, but ultimately we were won over by the amazing creativity and talent of the professionals at the Project Center, an RR Donnelly Company. A big thanks to everyone who worked on the project, especially our devoted volunteer, Kayleen Thomas, that acted as our liason. We expect for the new logo and brand colors to be implemented into our web site by mid-November, so be on the lookout! Meanwhile, you may notice us integrate the new logo into other business forms and marketing material as we print new things. Thank you again to everyone at the Project Center!!! |

On November 13th, Paws for Cocktails guests will celebrate the 7th year of raising money for our pets awaiting adoption, while at the same time enjoying the best party of the year! Our volunteers have outdone themselves this year by collecting over 175 fabulous items. Below is a sneek peek of just a few auction items we will have available to bid on, but if you want to see the complete list of auction items, just click here. |

A SAMPLE OF AUCTION ITEMS: Two Night Stay at the Inn at Half-Mile Farm (Highlands, NC) We can't wait to see you at Park Tavern on Thursday, November 13th. Tickets are available at the door the night of the event. No pets please. Tickets are $20 per person, which includes a $10 Golfsmith giftcard, appetizers, a drink ticket, and admission into the party. See you there!!

Tina Marie Tina Marie is is an outgoing two year old dilute Tortie. She’s a cute (gray and) cream puff, a little on the zaftig side which probably adds to the puff profile. But Tina Marie thinks she’s simply marvelous, and so do we! Her favorite activities are dozing on our secure porch and participating in the litter-scooping routine by wiggling her way between the litter pans and swatting the scoop. Why she enjoys that is anyone’s guess… so, we’d really like to see Tina Marie in a home that offers a little more in terms of entertainment. You can meet Tina Marie and maybe witness the scoop thing by dropping by the shelter and spending some time with the kitties. |

Bandit Bandit is doing great! He is playful and loving, and he loves to give kisses. I'm still working on getting him to learn the basics of fetch (he usually just carries the ball off after he catches it). He loves running but easily gets distracted by new smells. |

He's a very affectionate pup who will work his head under your hand to get petted, and he loves meeting new people and other dogs. He has not had an accident and always lets me know when he needs to go out. Overall, he is a great dog, and I am happy that I can give him a forever home. Thanks for everything you do for these animals. Jacob

| Volunteer Spotlight | |||||||
Each month we will feature one of our outstanding volunteers or foster parents. Our volunteers and foster homes are so important to our organization, and we just can not thank them enough. Fostering a rescue pet is a demanding job and we are so lucky to have such a fine group of volunteers who are up to the challenge of both fostering, and working at our adoption facility as well as at special events. |

| Meet Jim! Jim Stovall came to Atlanta Pet Rescue in March of 2008 with the most upbeat and willing attitude we have ever seen in a new volunteer. Jim quickly became well versed in all things Atlanta Pet Rescue, and very quickly made numerous contributions to several administrative aspects of our volunteer and adoption programs. Jim has an amazing gift for seeing talent in new volunteers and an eagerness to cross-train everyone. Jim worked to streamline the way we process our thank you notes as well as sponsor-a-pet program. Most recently, Jim has found his niche working within the volunteer program tracking new volunteers and volunteer hours. As our Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, Jim has become our go-to guy for scheduling new volunteers as well as existing weekday volunteers. You can find Jim at our monthly volunteer orientation, at the adoption center, or working tirelessly from home. Jim has become an indispensable resource and we are grateful for his continued service to Atlanta Pet Rescue! Thanks Jim |
