There is no doubt about it, Denver has stolen my heart!
When I first met Denver at animal control, he was quiet and shy. He was in an administrative office because he was getting beat up on. It is hard to tell how small he is, but he is a compact little nugget! When I took him outside to meet him, he immediately brightened up and wanted to play! He was so fantastic during his admissions process and let us do anything to him. He has a lot of scars around his face, head and legs. We think there is a good chance this little guy was used to fight other dogs.
No matter what his background was, Denver never fails to make me laugh at work. He is my office mascot and spends his day with me. While he isn't the most efficient office assistant, he is one of the most genuine and pure of heart boys. He walks so well on leash and is working so hard at his house training. He is a young guy, so playing is one of his favorite activities! I've taken him out for a few runs and he will be a great workout partner. He isn't the dog that is going to come home and be perfect. He will need training and time to grow into a mature boy.
Denver does so wonderfully on our agility equipment and really enjoys learning. While he loves to play and go, he is also a giant noodle. This boy will let you do anything to him, and he loves it! You can see from his pictures he loves to be held like a baby. He'll even fall asleep like that!!! Goofball!!
Denver is going to make someone an amazing pet and lifetime pal. He can't wait to meet that person soon!
