Great news, Francine has found her forever home in New Hampshire thanks to Great Dog Rescue New England!!  (http://gdrne.com/).  She will leave for her forever home on Sunday, March 18th.

Francine looks like she was put together one part at a time, she is a charming mutt to say the least.  It is hard to tell exactly what she is, but there is no doubt she is a very loving and devoted girl.  She has soulful brown eyes that will make you want to love her forever.  Adding to her adorable looks are ears that like to stick straight up and a darling underbite.

Francine is going to be an excellent lifetime companion in the right home where she can continue to build her confidence.  Learning to trust people is a work-in-progress for her and she will need a patient family to help her.  She adores other dogs and spends almost all day, everyday, frolicking around with her 4-legged chums or curling up for a nap with them.  Francine will require a home with a fenced backyard and another dog.

Doggy Buddy report 2/10/12:
We've spent our mornings at Tanyard Creek Park, where we walk the trail end-to-end (nearly 2.5 miles).  She is a fantastic walking companion. She would also be a great running partner, too.  She keeps good pace and stays focused on moving forward.  Sometimes she gets a little too excited to keep going and pulls on the leash, but we're working on that.   In the process of working on her leash manners, she's shown me just how smart she is.  But more important, she's quickly learning that when I stop, she stops and when I go, she goes.  And she is a pro at sitting!  In the car, she's an absolute dream.  She'll sit politely in the back seat if you want her to.  But she really prefers riding shotgun, so she can see all the traffic action and can be within easy reach for you to pet her big, soft ears.  After our walks she's been equally adorable. She curls up in the front seat and before we even get out of the parking lot, she's snoring softly, fast asleep.
