Happy is in a foster home and available for adoption on Saturday and Sunday.
Happy is exactly that, happy! He is truly content with the simple things in life; shelter, food, warmth, love and companionship. He has adorable ears that are very expressive and a curly-Q tail that makes his looks distinctive. He was wonderful during his intake and if he could get a kiss in every now and then he would. When we introduced him to the other dogs he did the usual inspecting and then settled in with ease. Happy is simply overjoyed that he no longer has to call the streets his home. This sweet and affectionate fella cannot wait to find a forever home that will share in his happiness.
What my foster mom says about me:
3/1/12: The first thing you notice about Happy is his glossy jet black coat, soulful eyes and his curly-Q tail. Whatever his mix, he is a dog who will shower you with attention and companionship.
He quickly integrated into our household and showed that he has good house manners -- he's housetrained, doesn't bark, isn't destructive, sleeps through the night without a peep and gets along well with my dog and other people he meets. He walks well on a leash (and does best with a harness). A fenced yard would be a plus for him as he likes to explore and run and if he had a dog friend they could run and play together.
He has mastered sit, stay, and loose leash walking. In the house he is calm and will play with appropriate toys. He likes to be close and will follow you around the house. In the evenings, he enjoy cuddling on the sofa or chair with you and will put his paws up on your shoulders and give you soft kisses. Happy's name suits him as he is a bright dog who wants to please you and be your best friend. Could that be you?
