Pippin is available for adoption Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday through Sunday.
Are you looking for sweet and spunky rolled up in an adorable canine? Pippin is exactly that! He is prepared to conquer the world with his outgoing personality and 'joie de vivre'. Pippin is always happy and eager to make friends. His ears will perk up and his tail will wag uncontrollably until he gets the attention he craves.
This social butterfly was found by a kind citizen and after many unsuccessful efforts were made to locate his owners he was brought to our facility. Pippin was very well behaved in their home. He is reported to be housebroken, crate trained, and good with children. Being a young pup, he can be mouthy during play, so tiny children would not be best.
What my friends say about me:
2/7/2012: Pippin has a terrific personality. He is a little charmer. He loves to play, play, play. We went on an outing to a dog park and he had the best time racing around the park! You would think he's part greyhound. This sweet thing loved every dog that was at the park, no matter how big or small. He also did great in my house with cats. There were some 6-10 year old girls at the park and they loved him. They were petting him, picking him up and carting him around the park. He responded by just licking their faces which resulted in adorable squeals of delight. So he would definitely be good with kids that age.
Foster Update 2/15/12: What a wonderful, young man. He loves to play with our lab mix, and despite her being about 3 times his size, he keeps up with her. He is a rough and tumble boy who really enjoys a good romp around the yard, or playing fetch with a toy of any shape or size. He does wonderfully with our cats, and is always respectful. He is doing great with his housetraining too. For a dog of his age, he is so delightful!! What a fun guy to have around!
Pippin is also a great snuggler and is happy to sit on the couch with you or curl up in bed for a snooze. He especially loves to get under the covers for a good nap! He has very expressive ears that seem to go in every direction. He would love a home with another canine companion so they could wear each other out all day. Pippin is a catch, he'll make someone a very lucky owner soon!
