When Rain first arrived at APRA, she had significant hair loss and thickening of the skin due to skin infections caused by mange which had not been treated for the nearly two months she spent at animal control. Unable to see her for her true self, we had labelled Rain as a "To Be Determined" breed. Since arriving, Rain has spent several months on skin medications and received medicated baths twice a week to clear her infections up and help her hair grow back.
She has made tremendous progress, both in health and appearance! Her hair is almost fully grown in, and she looks absolutely wonderful. She is a short, stout girl. She has a slender face and ears that stick straight up. We have determined at this point that Rain is some sort of Terrier mix. Check out her photos to see her transformation over the months!
Rain recently spent some time in a foster home, and they report that she is nothing short of wonderful. She is housebroken, gets along well with their other dogs, enjoys their long morning walks, and loves to snuggle!
