Aren't you in love with me yet? I'm Sandy, but my foster family calls me Doodle. They like to say I'm the most precious Poodle Doodle they have ever met. I've had a very tough past. I came from a backyard breeder. I didn't know it when I lived there, but that isn't how I was supposed to be treated. I didn't know that there was anything but living outside and never being touched. I had no clue what human affection was. Luckily, APRA found me and some of my pals and made sure we would be safe forever.
When I arrived to APRA, I was completely overwhelmed, I was petrified of everything. I didn't know who, or what, to trust. Within a few weeks, I gained a little bit of confidence. Luckily, then a foster family decided to take me home to help me grow even more. Wow, what a life! Who knew you were supposed to sleep snuggled up in a blanket with your four legged and two legged pals? I've been working hard on things like potty training, walking on leash and my confidence. Men are still fairly scary to me. My foster dad loves me and I love him, but I don't know how to show it yet. I usually hang out with my foster mommy, lounging on the back of the couch near her and my foster dog and cat siblings.
While I love my foster family, I'm ready for find my forever home. I hope there is a great family who is willing to be calm and patient with me and I promise to provide oodles of Doodle love!
