Now that we are in a bigger space, we hope to be able to rescue more big dogs but in order to do that, we need larger cages.

Our goal is to raise about $2500 to buy the cages we need so that we can bring in more large dogs for adoption.  We appreciate your tax deductible donation in any amount.  Even if you can give just $10, it helps bring us closer to our goal.

Please click Donate, and select General Donations from the drop down box.  In the box titled special notes, specify “CAGES” so we earmark your donation for this special project.

We are excited to tell you about the launch of our week long campaign with Groupon to help raise money to treat our dogs with Heartworm disease. As many of you know, we get the majority of our dogs from local and outlying animal control facilities. Sadly, it is very common for stray dogs or owner relinguished dogs to not have had the best care. This lack of care often includes not getting their monthly heartworm prevention.

Celebrate the end of Summer and adopt one of our promotional pets!

We have chosen all of our active, rambunctious fun loving dogs who hang out together in our “Party Pen” as well as several honorary members. Our honorary dogs and cats were chosen since they have been with us a  bit longer and still in search of their forever home.

All participating dogs and cats will have the Last Blast of Summer promotion on their biography page and their adoption fee is reduced by $50. All dogs in the promotion also get a free microchip. All of our kitties always come with a microchip.

Protect your dog by getting him microchipped. We offer microchips to all dogs, not just those adopted from us. Your dog can get a microchip and a lifetime registration for just $35. It takes just a few minutes and can be done during our shelter hours Tuesday through Sunday.

As we settle into the new building, our bills are pouring in.  The housing and necessary treatments for more animals cost lots of money.

We need your support during this time more than ever! Our friends and supporters of APRA have always been wonderful. We are asking again for your help in making a donation to our building fund. No donation is too small, every dollar counts.
