Ruby is a very sweet and affectionate girl who will make a great feline companion. She is outgoing and inquisitive, but not pesky.

Kiki is a sweet young cat that found herself homeless due to no fault of her own. Kiki seems to respond to her name and enjoys the company of all people, adults and children alike.

Kiki has a white chin, throat and her front two paws have white tips on the ends of her toes. Her black hair is thick and glossy, which tells us that she was well cared for by her former caretaker. Unfortunately, that caretaker moved away and left Miss Kiki outdoors to fend for herself. She was taken in by a kind neighbor, and found her way to Atlanta Pet Rescue to find a forever home. Kiki is sure to be a wonderful companion.

Kiki is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Lynx is a 10 week old kitten that was surrendered to Atlanta Pet Rescue by his previous owner. Lynx is a great little cat who has lived with numerous dogs and other cats too. This is one well-socialized kitten. He's calm and laid back, which you'd expect of an orange tabby. Some people say orange tabbies are the best of all cats, and Lynx is trying his best to live up to that reputation.

Lynx is available for adoption

by appointment and on Saturday.

Update 10/22/09: Lynx (or the Linkster as he’s known here) is doing great in his foster home.  He gets along with the other cats here and sleeps in the bed with the humans. Lynx is affectionate, smart and super cute.  He’d do best in a home with a companion kitty.

Foster Report 11/5/09: Lynx (or Slinky, as he is now affectionately known around here) is an absolute sweetheart of a kitten. He purrs so loudly when he’s falling asleep that it’s a wonder he doesn’t wake himself up! Slinky is a real cuddler, and after playing real hard with his foster cats, he likes to curl up under the covers with a human nearby. He loves playing with fuzzy balls especially after he has soaked them in a bowl of water. He’ll carry a wet fuzzy ball around stopping now and then to gnaw on it. Since Slinky arrived, the fuzzy balls here aren’t very fluffy any more. Slinky is a keeper, and I wish he could stay with us forever, but we love him enough to let him go to a home where his bright little light can really shine! ~Lyndel (foster mom and huge Slinky fan)

Lois is an 8 month old, four pound domestic medium hair Brown Tabby. Lois came to Atlanta Pet Rescue along with her sister, Margie. These sweet cats will make a great addition to most any home.

Don't be fooled by her appearance in this photo. Lois is a real standout when it comes to personality. She is a lovely outgoing cat with a sweet demeanor.

Lois is getting over a case of the sniffles and is currently not available for adoption.

Foster Report: Lois is a bit more reserved than her sister, Margie, and takes a little more time to come around. She is really sweet, likes to be held and will even talk to you through little quiet meows. She seems very happy and appreciative to have a warm bed, food and lots of love and attention. Her days on the street have left her on the skinny side but she is starting to gain weight. Lois is very bonded with her sister, Margie, and they would love to be able to go to a forever home together.

Margie is is an 8 month old, 4.5 pound domestic medium hair Tortie cat who came to Atlanta Pet Rescue along with her sister, Lois. These sweet cats will make a great addition to most any home.

Margie has beautiful silky hair and a very unique dividing line down her face. As you can see, she has a "dark side" and a "lighter side". This in no way refers to her personality. This sweetie is all sugar and affection.

Margie is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Foster Report:  Margie is the kind of cat that you can fall in love with......in about three minutes time. She is friendly, outgoing, affectionate, snuggly and does not know a stranger. She is a bit on the thin side with is putting on weight now that she does not have to forage for her meals. This precious girl wants nothing more than to be a part of a family and would be very happy if Lois could join in as well.

Prissy is very social and loves to be held. She purrs a lot too. She is OK around dogs but doesn't like being chased or being bothered by them. She will occasionally play with a cat toy but would rather sit on a window sill and stare outside. Prissy is so named because it looks like she is wearing an evening gown and earrings (based on her black and white markings).

Prissy is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Yahtzee is a bit standoffish. She would rather not be held or petted. Her favorite thing is a laser pointer. She will chase it for several minutes at a time. She plays with other cat toys as well. She plays with the dogs and lets them play with her but she doesn't like them chasing her. Yahtzee is so named because she is mostly white with 6 black patches on her back (like a dice).

Yatzee is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Cream is a 3 year old, 9 pound pure bred Persian cat who was surrendered to APR by his previous owner. Cream comes from a long line of pure bred Persians. His official name is "Last Call's Bailey's Irish Cream". We like Cream for short. Cream had to be shaved down but was a true gentleman during the whole process. This cat has a wonderful personality and enjoys the company of everyone he meets.

Cream is home with a potential adopter and is currently not available for adoption.

Zack is a handsome 1 year old, Munchkin feline, a breed that is born with short legs. His short legs do not interfere with his ability to leap, run or jump like any other cat.  Zack is extremely intelligent; he apparently knows the word 'treat.'  If you're looking for a food driven kitty with cute stubby legs, Zack would be perfect for your home.

Zack is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Brighton is a stunning 5 year old Bi-Color (Black, White and Brown) Persian that was  surrendered to animal control by his previous owner because they did not have time for their once outdoor kitty.

He came into us flithy and full of mats. Despite his condition he is still sweet and trusting of people. This big baby is so mellow that he lets us hold him in our arms on his back, and all he does is look lovingly into your eyes and purr.

This handsome fellow needs a loving forever home that will give him the love and care he deserves.

Brighton is available for adoption

Tuesday through Saturday.

Gwyneth is a young (between 8 months and one year old) Siamese mix who came to us from an outlying animal control facility where she was brought in as a stray. When no one came to claim this sweet girl, we quickly scooped her up so that she could find her a purrfect forever home.

Gwyneth is a spunky little girl who is still learning about the world around her. Everything seems to be new to Gwyneth, as if she has never had the love and care of a real home. She is learning about toys and is also learning how great it is to be a pampered feline. One thing is for sure, Gwyneth loves her human companions. We are sure she will make a wonderful addition to most any home.

Gwyneth is not yet available for adoption.
