Some of our rescued pets need very expensive, extraordinary medical attention such as orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, or advanced heartworm treatment.
Pets requiring these types of extensive medical care are becoming more and more prevalent, and as much as these pets are equally deserving of a chance at life, our normal operating budget simply can not sustain any additional burden. These pets would not be considered adoptable by other rescue groups and animal control facilities, because of the overwhelming cost associated with their treatment. Your Guardian Angel donation of $500 or more will allow us to give a deserving pet a second chance at life.

Please see some examples listed below of extraordinary medical expenses required in abuse and/or neglect cases. All figures are per case and are estimates only.
Orthopedic surgery: $1,000 - $1,500
Heartworm treatment: $300 - $500
X-rays: $100+ each
Complications with spay/neuter surgeries: $100 and up
Broken bones: $300 - $500
Treatment of mange and other severe skin infections: $200 and up
The pressure from the community to increase the number of pets we rescue from abuse and neglect cases is overwhelming. Even as we rescue dogs from these dire situations - and off of death row - at a higher rate than most shelters, we are still forced to leave so many highly adoptable and deserving animals behind to meet their fate in the gas chamber or by lethal injection, because of our limited budget. By becoming a Guardian Angel for a pet awaiting treatment, you will allow them their first opportunity to understand love, trust and happiness. With your support, we can continue to offer this well-deserved chance at life to even more pets in need.

After making a Guardian Angel donation, you will receive an acknowledgement via email, as well as an emailed Guardian Angel Sponsor Packet containing a certificate of sponsorship, a fact sheet on the pet you choose to help, and a tax receipt for your donation. You will also get your name and your chosen pet listed on our Guardian Angel Appreciation Page.
