Thank You!
Our Veterinary Angels:
Collier Road Animal Hospital & Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic
Dr. Whittle at Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Ewing at Collier Animal Hospital are truly angels to Atlanta Pet Rescue. They have done so much for us…last minute Rabies appointments, spays/neuters, dentals, and the evenl special needs dogs or cats. They rarely receive recognition for it on our pet pages, but they help us out in so many ways. And always do it with a smile!
If you are looking for a new vet for your family we recommend both of these practices with all our hearts!

David York, Barking Hound Village
Atlanta Pet Rescue extends a special thank you to David York of Barking Hound Village. David has been there for us as one of our biggest supporters since the very beginning. He hosted us in the parking lot of his Cheshire Bridge Road location of Barking Hound Village before we had an adoption center and continues to offer his support today. We thank you, David, for your ongoing loyalty and generosity.
Charity Parity
Thank you so much to Charity Parity, a group of employees of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, who have once again this year approved our grant request for support. We recently received a check for $3,875 that will go a long way in providing care for our many dogs and cats awaiting adoption. Thank you all!
Dog Days of Summer: Dog Walk

Thank you to Great Harvest Bread Co. for hosting a fun dog walk on Saturday, August 29th! Lots of dogs showed up with their people and made the trek up Atlanta Road to the park where we enjoyed delicious treats and drinks from the generous dog lovers of Great Harvest Bread Co!
Also, a big thanks to dog trainer Amber Burckhalter of K-9 Coach for her training tips, as well as Leesia Teh Photography, who took photos!
The photos from the event are now available: click here to enjoy!
Thank you AGAIN Sophie Butler!

Our youngest (and cutest) supporter, Miss Sophie Butler, did it AGAIN! She created a 2010 Calendar featuring her own artwork, and sold these calendars to raise money for Atlanta Pet Rescue. On Saturday, January 30th, she surprised us with a check for $650 from the sales of those calendars. We are forever indebted to the kindness and charity of this very special little girl.
(From 2009)...................................................................................................
Thank you to Sophie Butler for her donation of $125 to Atlanta Pet Rescue!
A future entrepreneur, Sophie raised all this money herself from the sales of her very own calendar! She designed and produced the calendar and sold it to her friends, neighbors and family.
Sophie was featured in the September 2009 edition of OurTown magazine, the Vinings/Smyrna edition. OurTown was so impressed with Sophie's volunteerism, they put her on the cover! We are impressed too!
Thank you to Sophie and her mom Joey!
Dawgs Feeding Dogs
Thank you to
The University of Georgia Alumni Association, Fulton County Chapter, in conjunction with Loco's Deli and Pub-Buckhead, donated $465.00 to Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption, a non-profit, no-kill pet rescue group, on January 13, 2009 at their adoption center on 14th Street in midtown Atlanta.
The money was raised by officers of the chapter at football game watching parties at Loco's. The program is called Dawgs Feeding Dogs and is a national fundraising event chapters participate in during football season.
The officers (shown above) took a bucket around to tables during the game and asked for donations. Loco's-Buckhead manager, Chris Spivey, said they would match the funds raised by the chapter during the season.
Emily Robinson, Community Service Coordinator states “We all hope Atlanta Pet Rescue will continue to do good work in the area. We appreciate their diligence and commitment to animals.”

This is a back-breaking and not-very-glamourous job, but one that is crucial to the health of all the precious adoption center residents. We thank you all for your hard work!
