Arnie & Petunia

Amie & PetuniaI adopted Arnie & Petunia from APR 6 yrs ago. They had been at the shelter for months but would hide in the corner together and were terrified of people. I was working at Barking Hound which was next door so I would see them daily and decided to foster them. When we got home they ran under the bed and stayed all night. When  I would take them in for Saturday Adoption I had to move the furniture around so I could catch them. They trusted no one including me. Finally one day I was laying on the sofa sleeping and Arnie came down and jumped up on the sofa next to me and laid there like everything was OK. ~ Julie

After this I knew they couldn’t go back to the shelter. They are still skittish but don’t let it get in the way of going to the dog park or rides in the car.

They have certainly been a challenge but one I am glad I took !

They are adorable, and I echo Ben’s sentiments.
