NoraDear Friends at APRA – I would like to thank you for rescuing me from Cobb Animal Control. I was found with a dislocated hip and ended up having FHO surgery, thanks to APRA. After my adoption on November 2, 2012, my Mom found out that one of her friends worked to get me out of Cobb Animal Control. According to my family’s friend, I almost didn’t make it due to my injury.

I was a little shy at first and really didn’t know what to expect.  I was so excited to get to my new home with a big fenced in back yard. I was so absolutely exhausted from my journey,  I think I slept for three months straight.

I love people and cannot wait to go up to greet them.  I am especially good with my Mom’s niece and nephew who are seven year-old twins. Also, my family says that I am a show stopper when I walk down the street prancing in my normal poodle fashion.

I love cuddling, belly rubs, walks, treats and especially stalking the many squirrels and chipmunks that live in my backyard.  Thanks for saving me APRA. You helped bring a lot of joy to my life – and oh yeah, my Mom’s too. ~ Nora

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you, Nora, because I started volunteering at the shelter 2 days after you were adopted. But thank you so much for sharing your story, and I’m so glad to hear that you and your mom are so happy together. Your story makes me smile. Hugs!
