Charlie (formerly Rusty)

Charlie1Dear Atlanta Pet Rescue – In May our daughter, Taylor, adopted a cocker mix named Rusty—who she renamed Charlie. The two of them bonded in the car ridehome to North Georgia, and a week later, he moved with her to Charleston where she is in Physical Therapy School at the Medical University of SC.  I have never seen a pet and owner bond so quickly, and he has just been the PERFECT match for her. She calls home or texts pictures of him almost daily….and each time, I hear her say, “I love my dog” or “He is so perfect”!

While home in August, he had his vet check up, since he had been heart worm positive, and you had treated him. We were all thrilled that this test came back negative and he is heartworm free! She was like a nervous parent in the waiting room. So sweet. We were so incredibly impressed with APR and how clean, organized and efficient your facilities and staff were. Thank you to your entire staff and volunteers, especially Shelly, who facilitated this adoption.

Charlie4Just thought you would want to hear this update. ~ Sincerely, Mary S.

Thank you so much for the update on Charlie/Rusty! I remember him, and am happy that he found such a wonderful home, because he deserves it. I especially like the picture of him in the baseball cap. It appears that Charlie is living the good life, and I couldn’t be happier for him.

Ditto! Rusty and his freckles are fondly remembered and it’s great to hear he is so happy. And “Charlie” is one of my favorite names! Wishing you the very best—bbb
