Zamboni is loving all the attention and love he is getting from his new family and couldn’t ask for more. His new family is head over heels for Zamboni and are enjoying share their home with their new family member!
Gertie has transitioned into our household very smoothly. She is very loving and follows us around the house. She wears her brand new pink collar with pride and loves her daily brushing. We love her.
This is Wheels checking in. My new name is Macy Isabella.
I love my new Mommy and Daddy.
I went to the vet the other day, I call her Dr. Pam. She was very nice so I gave her lots of kisses.
I have a drippy nose so she gave me some medicine. It is working well.
I weigh 6.2 pounds now. I am watching my figure so I only want to gain 1-2 more pounds.
I have lots of sweaters and coats to keep me warm when I go outside.
I also have two beds!!! Lots of blankets and bones and toys and treats… Oh the list goes on and on!
I’m not spoiled, I’m special!
I go outside to go potty cause I don’t want to have an accident in the house. I am very good.
I get kisses all the time, and lots of snuggle time cause they love me very much.
Thank You for letting me go home with them. I am soooo happy I found my forever home.
Here are some pictures of me. Aren’t I cute?
My husband and I adopted Charles Darwin rom Atlanta Pet Rescue around this time last year. When we met him he’d just come in from Gordon County animal services and hadn’t even been put up on the APRA website yet, so we completely lucked out. Charlie is the chillest, sweetest, friendliest little guy. As you can see, he’s a world champion snuggler who happens to always be down for an adventure. It’s a complete mystery to us how a pup this wonderful could end up without a home, but we’re so grateful to APRA for taking him in. It’s hard to imagine life without him now. Thank you!
Things are going wonderfully! My husband and I are on our way to North Carolina with all three dogs in tow – we are insane, haha!! I have changed her name to Millie only because Heartly and Hattie were getting messed up in my brain and I would end up calling one of them by half of each name LOL. Thankfully she hadn’t learned any name yet so I’m hoping she catches on to the new one quickly my husband made a Millie Vanillie reference yesterday and now I can’t stop calling her that!!!
I just wanted to share with you some amazing professional photos we just got from Brody’s first modeling shoot! (yes! You read that right!) We got contacted by a photographer for a shoot he was doing, and we thought it would be super fun. Well, Brody was a super star and the best part? I got super amazing photos of our sweet pup (who we wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for your amazing rescue!!) Look at how healthy and happy he looks – that fur is just luxurious. We love Brody more than we can say!
Six years ago on May 30 I adopted a wonderful dog from -Atlanta Pet Rescue. She was a six year old tri colored cavalier that had been dropped off my her previous owners. She apparently had been used as as puppy mill as it was obvious she had had several litters of puppies, she was totally deaf from untreated ear infections and had very little hair. When I adopted her, I took her to my vet, Duffy Jones, who helped me restore her to the beautiful dog she was meant to be, she became the love of my life! I have never had a dog any sweeter or better than Katy. Last Friday Dr Jones and both sobbed as we helped her cross the rainbow bridge. She had developed heart problems and was unable to breathe. My heart is broken. Thank you for giving me almost 6 wonderful years.
My family and I just wanted to write to say thank you for giving us the wonderful gift of Carson. We adopted him one year ago today (in the middle of Snowpocalypse!), and he has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He is so full of love – we can’t imagine life without him. I’m attaching some pictures from his first year with us – he’s had lots of adventures, travels, and just good, plain snuggle time.
I adopted Alfie yesterday. He and his new brother Bruce Wayne are getting along perfectly!
It's been a little over two months since Jake became a member of the family, and what a joy he is! He's full of personality and so lovable that friends and family make dates to visit him. Not me. :) He loves walking around the lake, going for a ride in the car, and looking for ducks, squirrels, cats, etc. He's intensely curious, which I love. At the same time, he's incredibly well-behaved. He looks and sniffs but never bothers anything. He's completely house-trained, obeys several commands, and enjoys belly rubs and back scratches. Jake is almost the perfect dog, and I am thrilled that he lives with me. Thank all of you at Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption for the selfless, amazing job that you do, and thank you for making it possible for this incredible little 16 pounds of terrier to share life with me.
