Things are going wonderfully!  My husband and I are on our way to North Carolina with all three dogs in tow – we are insane, haha!! I have changed her name to Millie only because Heartly and Hattie were getting messed up in my brain and I would end up calling one of them by half of each name LOL. Thankfully she hadn’t learned any name yet so I’m hoping she catches on to the new one quickly :) my husband made a Millie Vanillie reference yesterday and now I can’t stop calling her that!!!

Brody0002I just wanted to share with you some amazing professional photos we just got from Brody’s first modeling shoot! (yes! You read that right!) We got contacted by a photographer for a shoot he was doing, and we thought it would be super fun. Well, Brody was a super star and the best part? I got super amazing photos of our sweet pup (who we wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for your amazing rescue!!) Look at how healthy and happy he looks – that fur is just luxurious. We love Brody more than we can say!Brody0001

KatySix years ago on May 30 I adopted a wonderful dog from -Atlanta Pet Rescue. She was a six year old tri colored cavalier that had been dropped off my her previous owners. She apparently had been used as as puppy mill as it was obvious she had had several litters of puppies, she was totally deaf from untreated ear infections and had very little hair. When I adopted her, I took her to my vet, Duffy Jones, who helped me restore her to the beautiful dog she was meant to be, she became the love of my life!  I have never had a dog any sweeter or better than Katy. Last Friday Dr Jones and both sobbed as we helped her cross the rainbow bridge. She had developed heart problems and was unable to breathe. My heart is broken. Thank you for giving me almost 6 wonderful years.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetI adopted Alfie yesterday. He and his new brother Bruce Wayne are getting along perfectly!

It's been a little over two months since Jake became a member of the family, and what a joy he is! He's full of personality and so lovable that friends and family make dates to visit him. Not me. :)

He loves walking around the lake, going for a ride in the car, and looking for ducks, squirrels, cats, etc. He's intensely curious, which I love. At the same time, he's incredibly well-behaved. He looks and sniffs but never bothers anything. He's completely house-trained, obeys several commands, and enjoys belly rubs and back scratches.

Jake is almost the perfect dog, and I am thrilled that he lives with me. Thank all of you at Atlanta Pet Rescue and Adoption for the selfless, amazing job that you do, and thank you for making it possible for this incredible little 16 pounds of terrier to share life with me.

Scooter is doing fantastic at home!!

IMG069Our lovely Annie was adopted back in 2007 from Atlanta Pet Rescue. She is a cute little Schnauzer Terrier mix (She is on the right). Aged at only four months when we adopted her she fit right into our family! She started off as a jet black puppy but as she aged she started to turn grey. Now at age seven she still runs around and plays like a crazy young puppy that she once was. Annie’s very favorite person in the house is her mommy. Annie treats her mommy like she hung the moon. She even gets to sleep with her mommy!

Our spunky and sassy little girl, Chloe was adopted in the Summer of 2011 at age two. Annie was feeling a little lonely and needed a friend so mommy and daddy decided to get another dog! When we went to go see Chloe her name was Edie. Katelyn her sister decided to change that so she came up with Read »

photo (2)We are celebrating a birthday in our house tonight. Two years ago today, we adopted Hudson (“Mitchell” was his name while staying with you all at your facility). Our lives have been much, much brighter ever since. Hudson is not only our a part of our family at home, but he is also comes to work and is our proud office dog. In the two years we’ve had him, he grew a little bit, started eating sensitive stomach food, had a tooth pulled, loves going on hikes outdoors whenever possible, hangs out with his friends at Piedmont Bark, started vocalizing more and gets mohawks in the Summer. We can’t imagine life without him and are so thankful for all of the work that you all do over there.

Rainey5Rainey has become such a joy to have in my life.  She became much more active and playful in the weeks after I adopted her.  We play, go for walks/runs as often as possible.  From the moment she walked in the door, she knew she was home.  There were a few piddle accidents the first couple of days, but she’s very much already housebroken.  She has a vendetta against squeaky toys.  So far a Peep, a shark, and a Care Bear can be counted amongst her victims. But she seems happy with me and I couldn’t be happier with my little Rainey Daie!

Thank you, APRA!
